Public Reading of the “Declaration of Independence”
There will be a Public Reading of the “Declaration of Independence” on Tuesday July 4, 2023, at 8:45 a.m., at the flagpole in front of the Greendale Village Hall, 6500 Northway, Greendale, Wisconsin. This will be the 17th year for this public reading, which started in 2007.
You are invited to read sections of the Declaration of Independence. Volunteers will read a paragraph, (or part of a longer paragraph), in turn, and continue with the other volunteers assembled. Other speakers/groups have also been invited. We will assemble at 8:35 a.m. and determine the order of the readers. We should be done by 9:00 a.m. The Greendale parade starts at 9:30 a.m.
